    What We Do

We develop STEM Kits which complement the standard math and science curriculums.

    For Superintendents

Superintendents are held accountable for math outcomes

while having limited control over what happens inside the classroom. As CEOs of the district, when students are confused or disengaged, the burden falls on them to fix a system that isn’t giving the children what they need. TBDG develops tactile STEM kits and curriculum aligned workbooks that boost math learning, reduce achievement gaps, and increase engagement, especially for Black and Latino students who have been traditionally underserved in STEM. Our products support improving district wide performance, assisting principals, ensuring equity and access across schools, maintaining compliance and quality, and fostering community engagement.

    For Principals

Principals are responsible for math scores

but often lack access to classroom tools they can confidently cite as drivers of improvement. We provide schools with hands-on tools that help students see, build, and understand math, not just memorize it. By selecting the right programs, principals can shape classroom activities. When students are confused or disengaged, the burden falls on teachers to improve a system that isn’t meeting their needs. We can help boost math achievement, support teachers through professional development, and enhance engagement, behavior, and equity through a rigorous, culturally responsive education. Students are being taught math, but many don’t truly understand it or enjoy it. Over time, math becomes something students push through rather than something they’re motivated to participate in. Kids are passing through math class without mastering the basics.

    For Teachers

Most teachers follow a structured math curriculum

but it doesn’t always resonate with every student. The Black Data Guy doesn’t replace your curriculum; we enhance it by bringing hands-on tools into your classroom, transforming abstract math concepts into something students can see, touch, and interact with. Hands-on learning helps make difficult concepts click. Our kits turn abstract ideas like fractions, algebra, ratios, slope, polynomials, and graphing into tangible and visual experiences. This strengthens understanding and helps students who struggle with math finally see the underlying structures behind the numbers. Teachers are managing full classrooms, wide learning gaps, and constant pressure to keep students moving forward, often without tools that truly support their understanding or engagement. They spend significant time re-teaching the same concepts because students are guessing rather than understanding.

We Use Hands On Learning To Teach Math

    Driving to Success STEM Series

transforms one of some of the most challenging subjects in math into a hands-on, visual, and deeply engaging experience. Designed as a complete STEM learning system, this product combines a physical car kit with an interactive workbook to help students understand challenging mathematical concepts such as fractions, algebra, and trigonometry through real-world applications of creativity and motion.
At the center of the experience is the build. Students begin by designing and assembling their own wooden race car using the included kit, complete with materials that encourage personalization and creativity.
Next, students construct a functional ramp that harnesses gravity and generates motion. This is where the learning accelerates. The ramp transforms the classroom into a lab, where students test, observe, and measure how their cars move. This is not just an activity; it is the entry point into mathematical thinking and lays the groundwork for algebraic reasoning.
